Decor

Lately, I have taken to painting on anything – textiles, wood, metal and pottery. Some of these pieces I created from scratch (ex: Lazy Susans), others I try to save before they get to the landfills. For example, I saw the sad wooden rooster (shown below), in dull browns, broken, and headed for the dumpster. With a little cleaning, sanding and bold color – this guy is now irresistible. When just the right amount of color and shimmer come together, that makes me happy. Happy + home is a nice combo.
